At Betano Ecuador, winnings from sports betting are subject to an automatic withholding of 15%, in accordance with Executive Decree No. 422. This tax is applied individually on the prize of each winning predicted event, not on the total accumulated for the day, week, or month. In other words, each winning ticket pays its own tax, independently of the rest of your predictions.
How is the 15% withholding calculated?
The deduction works ticket by ticket. Each winning bet settles its own tax independently of your other bets.
Practical example:
If your ticket has a gross winning of $100.00, 15% ($15.00) is withheld and you receive $85.00 as net winnings.
If you win three different bets, the calculation is repeated three times separately; the three winnings are not summed first to then apply the deduction.

When and how is the deduction applied?
The withholding corresponds to the Unique Income Tax on Sports Betting Operators and is automatically deducted at the moment each winning ticket is settled, before the money reaches your balance. You do not have to declare anything or make any additional payment: the tax is withheld at source.
What does this withholding affect and what does it not affect?
The 15% withholding applies only to the prize of a winning ticket. It does not affect your deposits, the balance you already have available, or the money you withdraw beyond what was already deducted at the time of winning.
If I do a Cash Out, is the 15% withholding applied?
No. Cash Out is a feature that allows you to close your bet before the sporting event ends, receiving an amount calculated by the system according to the match conditions and the status of the bet at that moment.
Since it is not a prize settled at the end of the event, the Cash Out amount is not subject to the 15% withholding established by current regulations in Ecuador. The amount goes directly to your balance, with no additional deduction.mento de ganar.
