Betano applies a 7-day waiting period from the time you make the request, and in the case of self-exclusion, the request is first reviewed. This is by design: it is part of Betano’s Responsible Gaming tools and aims to protect you from decisions made impulsively.
What is temporary account closure on Betano?
Temporary closure is a Betano tool that blocks your access to gaming for a short and defined period. It takes effect immediately from when you set it up, according to the duration you select:
- 24 hours
- 48 hours
- 7 days
- 30 days
You can apply it to Sports Betting, Casino, or both products.
How to increase or reduce your temporary closure
- To increase the duration or add more products: the change applies immediately at the time you request it.
- To reduce the duration or remove products already included: you can request it, but the change takes effect 7 days after your request. It is not instantaneous.
What is self-exclusion on Betano and how does it differ from temporary closure?
Self-exclusion is a Betano tool that blocks your access to gaming for long periods or indefinitely. Unlike temporary closure, which is measured in hours or days, self-exclusion is set for the following durations:
- 6 months
- 12 months
- 24 months
- Indefinite
You can apply it to Sports Betting, Casino, or both products, and it takes effect immediately upon activation.
How to extend or lift your self-exclusion
- To extend the duration or add more products: the change applies immediately.
- To lift the self-exclusion before the period ends: you must submit a request explaining the reason. Betano reviews each request individually as a protective measure, and if approved, the lifting takes effect 7 days after approval. Automatic approval is not guaranteed.
What you can do while the restriction is active
During temporary closure or self-exclusion, you cannot bet or play on the blocked products. If you want to request a reduction of the period or lifting of the self-exclusion, contact Betano customer service to start the process.
If you activated the restriction because you felt your gaming was no longer just entertainment, consider that reducing or lifting it is not the only option: under Player Protection you can set deposit limits and other control tools before playing again.
